FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rate at Equinox is $120/hour. If we work out & I travel to you, my rate can be $150/hour or less depending on the package bought. $135/5 pack, $130/10 pack, $125/15 pack, $120/20 pack. If you are wiling to travel and join Equinox 74th St. & 2nd Ave., that's probably easiest if you do not have a gym in your building. I have been getting a lot of inquiries from very far away on this system and it really doesn't make sense for my service to travel that way. If you come meet with me for initial visit and agree to Skype or IChat training then that rate would be negotiable and obviously less than quoted above. I am very experienced and can work with ANY type of client. I can be very motivating but moreover, what's key is uncovering your OWN self motivation to embrace the fitness lifestyle.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am current with my National Strength and Conditioning Association, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification, along with several other key skill offerings. I go to conferences, and take advantage of Equinox's continuing education consistently. Having worked in the past for over 5 years at a business research library along with my omnivorous curious nature, I am constantly reading and learning to help me serve my clients better.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
With a Masters in Philosophy and years in the corporate sphere traveling the world for business, I found myself in front of a photocopier asking myself where was I happiest? I always enjoyed classes at the gym I went to and was always a physical person,(I ran marathons, windsurfed, scuba dived, played sports, and did yoga but was never a gym rat with weight lifting.) I had to learn weight training and Equinox offered that opportunity. I've worked there since 2000 and have enormous respect for that company and love still being a part of it. I started Delta Fitness to be able to work with a wider audience who aren't able to be members of Equinox. It's work that I love and feel privileged to be able to earn my keep doing.
