Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. I have been bartending private cocktail parties at clients residence for 7 years. Parties range from weddings, anniversaries, graduations, birthdays, holiday parties, any occasion. I bring my bartending skills and mixing tools to serve professionally presented alcoholic beverages. Setup and breakdown upon request. I provide phone consultations to make sure the client has the proper supplies needed for a successful event. I always dress appropriately and can wear a tuxedo/bow tie when requested.
Q. Describe three recent jobs you've completed.
A. 1. Bartended a New Years Eve party at a 6000 sq ft. residence in Head of Harbor near St. James. I served a variety of martini's, custom cocktails tailored to the clients requests and the event was a huge success. Have become this clients private bartender at all future affairs after working just one party.
2. Bartended a wedding reception in Merrick Long Island, NY at a private home. Huge success all around.
3. Bartender for a fundraiser for Pancreatic cancer of a repeat customer in Port Jefferson in the clients backyard. The party was 6 hours long and had 150 big drinkers. I handled the event by myself without any problem.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Don't go with the lowest bidder unless you hire a professional after speaking with them. Everyone thinks they can bartend, but working a party requires experience, communication skills, and flexibility to meet the needs of the client. Having a stranger working in your home during an important engagement requires trust on both ends. Providing in home services for seven years has given me the confidence I need to perform the job that will make the client happy.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. I attended bartender/mixology school at the Bartender Academy of New York in Farmingdale. I was hired as a head bartender at Venetian Yacht Club formally John Anthony's on the Water in Babylon, NY.
After server all years of experience in the Bartending industry I decided to create my own private Bartending service so I could serve people in their homes. I enjoy the personalized relationships I now have with my clients and most of my jobs are repeat business and referrals from all my satisfied customers.
I am TiPs certified which is a bartender safety/server responsibility certification recognized by New York State and required in many industry bartending jobs.
