Introduction: Aperture Photography is a Saugerties, NY, based wedding photographer and serving Albany, NY, area; Hudson Valley; Poughkeepsie; Hunter; Windham and Catskills Mountains. We capture the special moments of your day. When photographing a wedding, my goal is to create a beautiful record of your wedding day. As a wedding photojournalist, my approach is to tell a story, from beginning to end, photographing the entire event, including preparations, getting dressed, portraits, ceremony and reception. I work in an unobtrusive way, taking informal, natural portraits and spontaneous candid shots of you and your guests in order to capture the emotion and beauty of your wedding day. I love what I do, and I think it shows in my work. I have a passion for catching genuine emotion and real human interaction. The end result is pictures that capture the true spirit of your special day.

Aperture Photography did a wonderful job of photographing our wedding in Woodstock, NY. We have hundreds of beautiful photographs thanks to Darlene and Frank. They are incredibly easy and pleasant to work with and I appreciated their positive attitude and kind way, which is important because you end up spending a decent amount of time interacting with the photographer on your wedding day. Aperture provided us with many candid portraits, as well as the traditional posed photos. And wow, they got us the photos FAST after the wedding.

Darlene and Frank are absolutely amazing to work with! They are so flexible and were more helpful than I could have ever imagined they would be. We felt so comfortable with them, they got amazing shots during the wedding and at times we completely forgot that they were there! I can't thank them enough for the amazing pictures we now have to remember our wedding day and to share with friends and family. We would book them again in a heartbeat!

Frank is a pleasure to work with! My fiance' and I are both thrilled with his work. We recently had our engagement pictures taken by Frank. An amazing experience. We had an incredible experience with Frank and Darlene on our wedding day. Frank made us feel incredibly comfortable, and he worked so hard to get us the best photographs. He was also incredibly responsive prior to the event, emails and phone calls were returned immediately, we had multiple conversations prior to our ceremony so that the big day ran smoothly. Everything came out beautifully and could not imagine having a better photographer. Highly recommended.

I was a artist and my main discipline was a painter. Although I thought I could make a living I got a job in a New York City Studio and learned Photography.
