Introduction: When you love what you do, it is so much easier to make a client happy. There is nothing better than a satisfied client and I always take the time to listen to my client's needs and offer solutions in order to give them the best possible outcome. There must be trust and understanding. My years working as a paralegal secretary required much attention to detail. That same attention to detail carries through to any industry which, of course, is inclusive of the voiceover world. I take great pride in my work and it's wonderful when clients put their trust in me and are pleased with their completed projects. The greatest praise is a return client. Wow! What don't I like about it?!? I love being able to be any character my client needs me to be. In voiceover, anything you voice is a "character", whether it be a spokesperson for a pharmaceutical or the voice of a fairy who loves to look at herself in dew drops. Though it's wonderful to be able to record from my own location, I love being able to record projects in studios...the engery in the room can't be beat! Working with a group of voiceactors is the best. The creative and positive atmosphere is something everyone should be able to experience!

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

For many years I worked as a paralegal secretary and callers and clients would always compliment me on my voice. When I had been researching other vocation choices, I took a Learning Annex course with Susan Berkley, who now is the owner of The Great Voice Company, and continued with her beginners and advanced voiceover classes, as well as many others through the years. Essentially, I was bitten by the bug and kept on going, eventually leaving the legal secretarial world in the dust...though I can still burn up a keyboard!!

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

My participation in "The Philadelphia Report", by Cherry Hill Publishing is something of great social importance and significance because of it's sensitive subject matter. It is the Philadelphia Investigation Grand Jury Report into allegations of Clergy sexual abuse in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. There are many high profile voice talents who participated in this project and I am proud to be one of the contributing talents to this important audiobook.
