One of the most congenial places to learn how to dance anywhere. Excellent instruction, easy going atmosphere, and amazingly affordable. I love it there!

A. Apart from classes and private lessons in all types of socal dancing, we also offer individually tailored wedding preparation packages to help couples feel comfortable dancing to their wedding song.
A. DancEncounters is dedicated to bringing high-quality, affordable social dance opportunities to Rochester. No contracts, no long-term commitments, no partner needed, no pressure. Just good fun with nice people.
A. I love to dance, and the opportunity to share that love with others is always a delight. Also, I throw a mean party!. But what really makes this job the best is the people who come to DancEncounters. They are all such nice, generous people, and it's a delight to work with them.
A. People who have never danced often call me and say "I have 2 left feet, can you help me?" Well, everyone I've ever met has a right and a left foot, and they can all learn to dance, at least well enough to enjoy themselves in a social setting.
A. Just like any other profession there are good teachers and bad teachers. Good teachers have some form of dance education and/or certification. They also have a track record. Ask around and get recommendations.
A. I have been dancing all my life, starting with Ballet, and teaching dance since I was 16, so it was a natural extension of that to open my own dance studio
A. As a teacher it is important to keep up on the latest developments in dance. Going to national events, taking workshops, and watching performances and competitions are some of the ways dance teachers keep their skills current.
