Introduction: My name is Josh Saunders, owner of Helio Sun Photo. We offer full-service wedding and portrait photography in a modern style to suit your needs. Whether you are looking for full day coverage or just need us for a few hours, we will be there to make you look your best! In addition to Wedding and Portrait photography, we are also available for Commercial photography to give your product a unique look that will keep your customers engaged and excited! A little about myself - I have a passion for all things visual. I am a full time photographer with over 10 years experience in the television industry and 10 years as a professional photographer, so I have a great amount of competence with lighting, composition, and a love of working with people. And now with the welcome addition of our son and daughter, I'm a stay at home dad, which offers even more flexibility for scheduling shoots and am willing to work with your schedule. Josh was great to work with! Even though we only needed a photographer for a few hours for our small ceremony at City Hall, Josh met with us beforehand to get a sense of who we were and what we were looking for. Josh did a beautiful job capturing the unique architecture of Rochester City Hall and our ceremony (which was especially impressive since the ceremony was *really* short!). We then did a photography session (about an hour) with him in a nearby park along the river. My husband and I were a bit nervous, since we didn't want photos that looked too posey, but Josh put us at ease and the photos are fantastic--very natural. We LOVE the photos and our families do too!

I had Josh do my son's senior pictures and I couldn't be happier with the pictures. We talked ahead of time about my son's likes and dislikes and a little bit about his personality and based on that Josh came up with some really incredible areas to go for the photo shoot as we wanted them to be done outside. Beautiful pictures and I will definately use Josh again when my other son is a Senior.

Josh was fantastic, we had a large group with many busy children and he was fast and efficient, he told us exactly what to do. He was very calm and pleasant through the whole experience. Josh was very organized and had many great ideas for us. It was a great experience, we will definantly be using Helio Sun again in the near future.

Josh was absolutely AMAZING! His work was SO above and beyond! First off, we went with the middle package. He let us use two hours (of the eight) to cover our rehearsal dinner! He also met with the pastor independently to discuss the photo regulations in the church. Then he went to the rehearsal so that he could take test shots and find the best places to stand for the ceremony! He did his own photo both-type deal at the rehearsal dinner so that people could all get shots of themselves! It was BRILLIANT! After, even though I asked to have him from 9:30 to 3:30, he showed up at the ceremony site before I did (at 9!) to take pictures of the venue! Not only was he there, but he had brought a phenomenal assistant for free! He took all the pictures, and the assistant worked on the lighting/getting people to focus! He got INCREDIBLE getting ready shots of me with my family. The ceremony pictures are STUNNING, and he was NEVER in the way! We got great pictures of the first kiss/rings/our exit... He was everywhere at once, and he never missed a single great shot! I gave him a shot list of formal family/bridal party pictures (it was long) and he got multiples of EVERY shot to make sure they were perfect! We met him down by the lake, and he did shots of me and my groom! They all came out AMAZINGLY! He listened to our ideas, and had some brilliant ideas of his own! He also did an AMAZING job at the reception! He got every picture we could have ever hoped for! We got multiple STUNNING shots of the cake, tons of pictures of us cutting it! The toasts were awful, but Josh managed to only get pictures of when we were smiling and laughing, and the one sweet moment in the best man's speech! He also took additional (goofy) pictures on the chaise lounge at our reception! We all had SO much fun. And additional pictures outside! So we ended up leaving the reception at 4:30... Josh gave us an extra hour of coverage, and we didn't even realize we were over because he didn't rush us at all! He was masterful and dedicated to getting the best shot possible! For $950, Josh was a STEAL. I was expecting pictures that looked like they came out of a Sears photo session, but they look INCREDIBLE. They are stunning, easily the quality of photographers I looked at that were three or four times as much. Best of all, he gave us 10 or so proofs in "trendy" washes (super faded, super bright), around 20 in black and white, a couple blue washes, a couple sepia washes, and the other 200 proofs (so just the best of the best) were digitally enhanced but classic pictures! For our 8 hour wedding, we got 237 enhanced proofs, and we get a CD with full reproduction rights for ALL pictures taken at the event! Like I said, Josh is a STEAL for a photographer, insanely brilliant, and I would HIGHLY recommend him!

Joshuah was a delight to work with. I required a photographer who was willing to accomodate my specific arrangements for my wedding ceremony and reception and not only was Joshuah extremely accommodating, he went out of his way to ensure I was comfortable throughout the entire experience. Overall, Joshuah worked with us for eight hours and not only did we enjoy him - our guests had a blast with him as well! He was exceptional at getting our guests to loosen up for the camera and have a good time. The result was amazing pictures, and awesome memories! I'm grateful we chose Joshuah!

Nothing I do is common. I have photographed many different events and situations. While weddings and portraits are my main passion, I have also shot bands, products, nature/landscapes, food, pets, and whatever else comes my way! I'm always looking to grow and improve my photography by trying new things and experimenting with light, shapes, and different themes. So if you are looking to hire someone that has a sense of adventure and isn't afraid to say "what if", you have come to the right place.
