I saw Tom DJ'ing to a holiday crowd at an outdoor event this past winter. He did a great job and truly made the event enjoyable. There were lots of acts participating in the event and Tom made it all work and kept it flowing smoothly.

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. We do everything from Engagement Parties to Weddings. Sometimes a client isn't looking to break the bank for their wedding, and really just looking for something simple, but still professional. We provide that service, for the budget you have.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Always do your research. Check multiple reputable websites and see if anyone has any comments about the companies you are looking at. A fancy website doesn't mean they are any better than a non-website DJ, and be sure to talk to someone at the company, and see what deals can be worked out for you.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. There are alot of other DJs out there, but not all of them take the time and consideration to go over every aspect of the party from the planning stages to the clean-up. We pride ourselves in not only providing an excellent service, but also educating the client in knowing where/how they can get the most for their money.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love everything about this job. The look on the guests faces as they hear their favorite song, the laughs and smiles and everyone is dancing and having a good time, every time is different, and none less memorable than the next. Every party is special and is going to be a time for everyone to remember, and its our job to make sure its something everyone will never forget, and always smile about.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. The most commonly asked question about our services is the price. There are cheaper DJs out there that can be found on craigslist, or through a friend, however what clients don't know is that catering halls require insurance and sometimes references before a DJ is allowed to set up. We've had phonecalls from regretful brides who chose a craigslist DJ only to find out they were not allowed in the Hall to do the wedding 3 days before the big day. You shouldn't have to scramble and panic about things like that. Trust a professional company, with references, and in good standing with local businesses. If price is the only issue, it can be discussed and worked out. We'd rather you be happy than end up with a Boom Box.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. I wish people understood that we do more than play music. Many people incorrectly assume a DJ is just paid to stand up and press play and change tracks. This simply isn't so. We are coordinators with the guests of honor going over their musical selections for the event as well as creating a timeline for any special events (speeches, awards, cake cutting, garter/bouqet etc) as well as working with the catering hall to go over the times for the servings, cocktail/dessert arrangements while balancing when the photographer and videographer need to take the Guest of Honor aside for their shots while not detracting from the party. Also we need to play appropriate music to keep the people pleased and feel the crowd and what music they like and are dancing too. And thats only a bit of what is involved.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. The hourly rate varies dependent upon the type of party and work involved. On our website the different party types are priced accordingly including some packages that add in special lighting, photo, favors, and video. We are more than happy to help create a package that fits within your budget that will amaze both you and your guests. All you need to do is ask us.
