A. Don't just settle on price or a referral. Get to know the Home Inspector, ask them alot of questions make sure they are working for you and your best interests. Keep in mind that a Home Inspector cannot tell you whether a home is right for you or not. No home can fail an inspection no matter what condition it is in.
A. I am a thorough Inspector who works specifically for the client. I keep myself well educated for the constant changes that this business offers. Being a good Inspector is not about how many inspections I book and how fast I can get them done, what makes us good is doing the job right and passing our knowledge over to the client so they can make their decision on their purchase.
A. Traveling to different locations meeting alot of interesting people, helping a client make an important decision on a very big investment. Inspectors have to be on their game and make no mistakes, I love the challenge because every home is different and every report I write is different which keeps my trade very interesting.
A. Would you personally buy this house even if you find a major concern? Everybody has different opinions about a home and what's involved. Some people might like the fixer upper changing the home to their likings, and some just want to move right in with less to no work to do. No home fails an inspection, no matter what state it's in.
A. I am constantly doing continuing education and am current on my NYS License. I belong to NACHI National Association of Certified Home Inspectors) which requirements are to stay current with the constant changes in this field.
