Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Being called to hospitals or nursing homes to notarize Powers of Attorney is by far and large the most common demand for my services. 2nd to that are Loan Closings from banks & Title Companies

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Clients should have proper and valid government issued photo ID. They will need to provide any legal documents and be familiar with them,. Notaries are not permitted to provide forms or instruct on completing them... it's the law.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. I am Commissioned in New York State since 2006. I am available to visit Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Rehab Centers - your home, a local cafe - virtually anywhere that is in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Outer boroughs may be considered with sufficient notice

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. For a number of years I worked as a Real Estate Agent. Almost every day there would be someone coming into the office looking for a Notary. So one day i just said let m do something about this... took the test and the rest is history.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. One should consider what they would be doing as a Notary as there various function levels open to you. For example many provide Notary services as part of their job and nowhere else - others do the same for the general public. Then there are those who like myself provide remote services to a client at a location of the client's choosing. This adds a true public service element to the profession as one can help those who cannot travel themselves to a notary.
