Introduction: There are many wonderfully talented healers in the world. There are certain qualities which I do bring to the table which not all healers can. For starters I have been doing Energy Healings for 45 years now. I think I learned a couple of things in that time. In addition to my experience, I am also medically trained, having been a Clinical Medical Instructor for 35 years. Also, I am highly Intuitive. When I work I apply all my knowledge to the benefit of my clients. I would also like to note that for me Healing is a privilege of serving Humanity. Therefore, my fees are most likely the lowest you will see anywhere, because all people should have the right to be healed, not just those more fortunate. It's also worth mentioning that I have no set days or hours of operation. I work exclusively by appointment only....and NO walk-ins. This means that I am much more able to accommodate my clients regardless of their schedules. DAYS, EVENINGS, WEEKDAYS, WEEKENDS, let me know when you are available and I will try my best to make it happen. It has been said that if you love your job you'll never work a day in your life. I can testify to that. I knew I was meant to be a healer since I was 17 years old. It gives me great pleasure to be able to help another being in distress. Reiki especially is a great joy to perform. Working with the angels is a beautiful, graceful blessing. When I channel their healing Reiki energy and pass it into the chakra system of my client I can see changes occurring in their subtle energy bodies. I see their breathing calm, their muscles relax, their eyes sparkle, I can see peace and health returning to them and their aura glow. Seeing the results as it's happening is a joy I can find no words to express. As if this wasn't enough to love my work, when I give a Reiki treatment I also receive a Reiki treatment, because the same energy passes through me! Can you imagine if you were a bank teller and each time you gave someone a dollar you got to keep a dollar as well? Need I say any more?

Jack Russo has been treating me for at least 20 years for various ailments. He understands the energetic sources of physical ailment and he is so harmoniously in tune with the patient he works on that he easily clears the blockages preventing healing and is a pure channel connecting the subject with the universal healing flow. Reiki works. Period. Whether it facilitates physical healing or accomplishes the change on it's own so no physical applications are needed it makes sense to utilize it and Jack is a true master. I, my family and everyone I have referred to him have benefited. He is our trusted source. Whether I am suffering from flareups of my COPD or the pains in my aging body or simply a general asymptomatic malaise Jack is my first call to initiate healing. And there is a cumulative quality with Reiki treatment, meaning that as the person's mind/spirit/body become accustomed to receiving healing this way each time it is easier and more profound. We are blessed to have him to reach out to. He has devoted his entire life to aiding in the healing flow and he is a pure instrument.

I saw Jack a couple times and felt a little uneasy that as a reiki practitioner he was also giving me nutritional and medicinal instructions. I asked him, as I ask all holistic practitioners I deal with, what his credentials are and what schools he went to so I would know what his nutritional and medicinal background was. He listed out a long list of credentials, none of which gave him legal permission to instruct me nutritionally or medicinally and many of which seemed fabricated, (License to teach all clinical subjects?) and when I asked him what schools he went to he refused to tell me and told me he would let me know at my next session with him. He was avoiding writing them down and bribing me for another session. It made me feel very uncomfortable. I also asked him for his Reiki lineage, something all Reiki practitioners have and are obligated to share with each other when they teach or practice. He refused to give me his reiki lineage. He seems to have a huge ego and thinks his way is correct and all others are incorrect and was always criticizing my other holistic practitioners for various treatments that were actually working for me, whereas a couple of his "instructions" might have had me sick for a long while. I did not take those instructions and I am doing much better for it now. I only wanted a Reiki practitioner. I didn't go to him for nutrition or medicinal instructions and yet he insisted despite obviously not having the credentials or legal permission to do so. I believe there is some good in him and that he is very well read, but I do not deal with "spiritual" people who practice out of ego and lie about their background. ALSO, as a Reiki practitioner myself, I know good and well that unless you are a nurse or a licensed massage therapist you are not allowed to legally touch anyone without their written consent. With other Reiki practitioners I've seen, there is always a consent form for physical touch and if one does not want to be physically touched, they will just hover their hands in the aura. He did not have such a form, and he did physically touch me and it made me uncomfortable. Reiki practitioners are also instructed to avoid physically touching private areas, and he did not avoid this in our first session. I asked him to for the second session and he mostly did, but not entirely. I asked him through email a final time for a response to my questions, and he never responded to me and it's been a little while now. I wouldn't trust him. One needs to be very careful when looking for holistic practitioners. So many are bogus. Blanca Beyar is another on the Island who has none of the credentials she claims to have. I looked her up. I would recommend going through the International Center For Reiki Training as it is much more organized and official than any other Reiki place in the states.

I have been receiving Reiki treatments from Jack Russo at his Reiki Center of Staten Island for close to two years now. I can't speak highly enough about him or his Reiki treatments. He has helped me on so many levels, and with so many issues that I don't know where to begin. For one thing, I no longer have to rely on painkillers for my arthritis. It's too bad I didn't know about Reiki when I was diagnosed at age 15. I wasn't even able to dance at my own Sweet 16 party because of all the pain and stiffness. I'm now 20 years old and doing fine. The Reiki helps tremendously and Jack got me to eat healthy, he even taught me how to meditate. He is like a walking encyclopedia of Holistic New Age Philosophy, diet and nutrition! He also helped me with my chronic digestive problems, no more stomach pills for me, yeah! I used to have problems in college concentrating and retaining all that I learned, but after beginning my Reiki treatments I find that I'm more grounded and better able to focus and remember all the material I'm learning...... my grades are proof of that! Jack is a kind and patient man, as well as talented and effective at what he does. He is very thorough and is always available to answer any questions I may have. As he says he's only a phone call away....and he really means it. I receive treatments once, sometimes twice a month (especially around final exam time). When I find something that works I stick with it. A couple of my friends are seeing him now as well and are equally happy and impressed. They refer to him as the kind old grandfather type - sorry Jack, their words not mine. To me he is my partner in health and I cherish his help and guidance. I highly recommend having Reiki from Reiki Master Jack for whatever ails you.

Jack Russo is my Reiki Provider, and an excellent one. Two years ago I didn't know what Reiki was, to be honest I'm still not totally certain how it works, I only know that it does. It all started when my friend gave me a gift certificate to the Reiki Center of Staten Island for my birthday. You see she understood that I needed it, and she had been receiving treatments there for about 6 months, and was doing great. She assured me that I had nothing to worry about, and as usual she was right. The reason she wanted me to receive Reiki treatments was because I was so badly stressed out. I have a very high pressure job. I'm very good at it and I love it but I wasn't dealing with the pressure very well. I developed insomnia, migraines and aches and pains all throughout my body, which my doctor was not able to successfully address. As if my high pressure job wasn't enough, there is also my husband and two young children demanding my time and attention. Looking at myself in the mirror I appeared to be 10 years older than I was! Entering Jack's Reiki Center gives you the feeling that you've been magically transported to a mystical temple in some far off, enchanted land. Incense burning, candles glowing everywhere, soft New Age music playing in the background, it's simply a wonderful atmosphere. Before giving me my Reiki treatment Jack explained the whole procedure to me, which made me feel more comfortable, knowing how foreign this all was to me. He also suggested that I consider making certain changes to my diet and which nutrient supplements he thought would benefit me the most. He told me to check with my doctor first and encouraged me to do my own research. This turned out to be very good advice, because my doctor really didn't know much about these things, however, when I researched it for myself I found Jack was right on the money! I implemented these changes in my diet and supplements and it certainly has paid off. I now have my whole family on this diet and now my two young, always sick, children don't have respiratory problems any more. My Reiki treatments are different each time. I've experienced lights, sounds, scents, visions, a sense of floating up to the ceiling.......The one thing I always experience is an intense feeling of calm and well being which can last for quite a while. After each treatment Jack relates to me whatever he sensed going on in my being, good and bad. He answers any questions I may have, and I never feel rushed. Since that first memorable treatment I have scheduled monthly treatments with Jack. For the record, I no longer get migraines, I sleep like a baby, the pain is gone and I generally feel great. I'm able to be more focused and productive at work and the stress just rolls off of me. I just had to praise Jack for the work he does and for always being there for me when I need him. In fact, he's my "Go To" person now, the first person I call when some health issue arises. I couldn't be happier. I'm still thanking my friend for introducing me to Reiki and Jack's Reiki Center. I've referred several friends and family members to Jack during these past two years and they are all very pleased. I would recommend this mild mannered, knowledgeable healer to anyone and everyone. Oh, and by the way, when I look in the mirror now I see myself the way I was meant to look.....if not better!

Being an Herbalist and Reiki Practitioner/Master, the two most common jobs I perform for my clients are herbal remedies and Reiki treatments. People come to me seeking herbs with every physical ailment under the sun either to avoid taking dangerous and expensive drugs, or after the medical establishment has failed them. When it comes to Reiki people are usually seeking Stress Reduction. I know of nothing which relieves stress better and faster than Reiki. Reiki, however, works on many different levels: Physical, Emotional, Mental and Spiritual, therefore; many come to me with conditions such as anxiety, phobias, depression,etc.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Before taking any herbal supplements always check with your health provider. Some herbs can interfere with medications you may be taking. Getting a Reiki treatment, however, can never be harmful and will always have beneficial results. Don't stress out, stress only makes a condition worse and creates new problems for you.
