Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Meet with your photographers and make sure you are comfortable with them. You will be spending a lot of time with them and must be happy with who you have chosen. Make sure any company guarantees the photographers you meet with as being the ones who will be there on your big day.

Have someone NOT IMPORTANT to the pictures be your photography wrangler. They can get all the people who are needed for shots so you don't waste precious time and can even possibly join in your cocktail hour.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. The emotions translate in the subjects eyes and body movement. It is important to try not to be too stiff there is only so much a photographer can do to make the subject look happy. We need poise and elegance from you but we like to have fun too.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. How long have you been doing this? What can you offer me for the money I am willing to pay? Are you insured? Will you be my photographers or will it be someone else? Do you have back up equipment and people in case anything should happen?
