Not a real moving company! Damaged and abandoned furniture. I had just sold my house and did most of the moving ourselves but needed a moving company for the few pieces of furniture to be moved. So I called them and got a quote that I knew was too good to be true. I asked James on the phone what happens if they damage the furniture and he reassured me that they cover every piece of furniture and nothing will get damaged; that they are a professional company. So, I scheduled an appointment with James and was ready to be moved. When they showed up, boy was I skeptical, but my husband told me to give them the benefit of the doubt since it was close to the closing date. It was two brothers in an old beat up truck. We showed them what we needed to be moved. We even took the bed frames and furniture apart for them. They had no moving equipment at all but a couple of home depot covers and asked my husband to borrow his cover (which they never returned). They then asked my husband to go buy them some more packing tape since they used up all our packing tape. They took forever to move the furniture into the truck. When we arrived at the drop off location (6.4 miles away), they looked like they were done for the day. They dragged their feet the whole time. There were times where they were MIA and when I went looking for them they were sitting in front of the air conditioner. It was around 8:00 pm, (they started at 2pm), and they still had two dressers to move. They tried to move one and convinced me that there was no way they could get it past the staircase (“they do this for a living”). He then mentioned that he had to leave because he has a second job and needed to be there by 8:30pm. My mom began to yell at them, stating that they cannot leave these two dressers out in the street and leave, what kind of company does that. James told me he will come back the next day. I asked them to at least put the furniture in the drive way, and they did. Smack in the middle of the driveway and left. My brother and mother then moved them and we covered them because it was going to rain that night. The next morning my husband and father managed to move both pieces of furniture without any issues up the stair case (neither one is in the moving business). The staircase they kept saying was impossible to move the furniture up. I called James and left a message that we managed the move. When I began to unpack I noticed that the screws were missing to the furniture and many of the pieces were badly scratched and the walls were also damaged. I tried calling James three times and left messages to try and resolve the issue before taking it further. He never returned my call.
