- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Equally Loved is a new company created by a professional performer who is also ordained and licensed to officiate marriages in New York. The company was started for several reasons, but the most important ones are a belief in the strength and stability of marriage on society, the knowledge that love is necessary for all of us to thrive, and being involved in too many ceremonies where the officiant has no investment in the couple's happiness, the ceremony itself (like forgetting or mispronouncing the names of the couple), and appearing to just go through the motions! We may be new, but our commitment is to you and your special day, no matter the couple, budget or venue!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The best thing we can do for couples is marry them in the location that makes them happy with vows that are special. Sure, for $25.00 or so, you can get married in the city clerk's office. If you had a choice however, wouldn't it be nice to spend just a little more and get married in your garden, at the beach or by the lake? There are so many great locations and fun spots, it's a pleasure to provide couples the ability to get married where they want, when they want and with the unique vows they'll always remember!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Talk to the officiants that you are considering for your ceremony. Don't just look at the amount of ceremonies performed by them, but the commitment they reflect when they speak with you. Every couple and every ceremony is unique and a great officiant will set the inspirational tone that inspires that!
