Survey findings and summary
Thumbtack.com, in partnership with the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, has released the new results from the second annual Thumbtack.com Small Business Survey. The 2013 study draws upon data from over 7,000 small business owners nationwide and shows that Ohio improved its overall ranking substantially, rising to a 'C+' from a 'D+' grade in 2012.
Some of the key findings for Ohio include:
- Ohio's best grade was an 'A-' for its professional licensing regulations. The state also ranked highly for the quality of its online business resources.
- Among major cities nationwide, Columbus and Cleveland ranked well, respectively earning an 'A' and 'A-'.
