Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. When looking for a maid service to take care of the needs of your home, be diligent and ask the right questions. Remember, you are "qualifying" them to care for your home.

1. Don't be afraid to ask for proof of insurance & bonding
2. Does the company perform background checks?
3. Does the company provide all the tools & equipment to complete the job?
4. How does the company handle client keys?

These four questions will help you quickly assess whether this company is "qualified" to work in your home.

Check with the BBB for any reports and responses.

You are trusting a company to come in and care for your home. It's important to know who you trust with the keys to your home.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Great questions. Maid services love to share tips of the trade. Here's one I like to share with our clients:

For $1, a bottle of rubbing Alcohol can take care of your windows, mirrors, pictures, countertops and faucet fixtures. Its a great disinfectant and is streak-free.

Another important tip that I share with customers with hardwood flooring is never, never use products like Orange Glo or Murphy's on the floors. Hardwood floors are polyurethaned and require little maintenance. These products will cause a wax build up that cannot be removed with traditional methods. It requires extensive stripping, sanding, restaining and re-urethane.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Don't settle for a "yes" when you ask a service if they are insured and bonded. Ask to see those credentials. A reputable company will happily provide you with a copy of insurance, bonding and workers comp certificates. It's in our best interest to help protect your home.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. The most important is know your budget. Even if you think you can't afford a service to do the whole house, we'll work with you to help stay in your budget. We all live by budgets nowadays, myself included. Companies that are budget friendly to the clients have clients who stay loyal to them. The more you know what you want us to do for you, the better we can provide you with an accurate, flat rate price.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. We provide a higher quality cleaning since our techs are worried about watching a clock, to hurry up and get to the next job. We service the customer, not the job. We don't nickel and dime for "added" requests. If you need a little extra help, just ask. That's why you hired us!
Since we are a single maid service, we have more accountability to perform and deliver a service that exceeds expectations.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love working with and meeting people. In 20 years, I have been in thousands of homes and met fabulous people, some of whom I have become great friends with. I am also lucky to see so many homes & decorating ideas. I take something back with me each time I see a new customers. It's inspiring, and sometimes a great learning lesson. I like to exchange or bounce ideas with customers. I also see things in homes that are very high maintenance, so I have a tendency to keep those things on file in my head to share with other homeowners or with staff during meetings. (I try to keep those high maintenance items out of my own home, no time to keep up with them.)

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Will I get the same maid each visit?
We do our very best to provide the same maid each visit, however our first priority is making sure you are serviced.

Do I need to be home when I am being cleaned?
This is a comfort level for you. Our customers entrust us with their homes, keys and security codes for over 20 years.

Do I provided the cleaning supplies?
We will bring all necessary equipment & supplies to complete the job EXCEPT for a toilet brush. We ask that your provide us with one for each toilet.
