- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always been a fan of music since I was a child. My dad raised me listening to his record collection. Today it is ipods & mp3 players & most listeners have a much larger music collection at the touch of a button. My music collection grew from cd's to mp3s & my laptops. I now have one of the largest collections of music by a DJ business in the NE Ohio area.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We specialize in weddings & ceremonies. It is always fun meeting new people who are getting married & helping them plan their special day. Every event is different. It takes time to plan the right wedding to be the way you want it to be. I like to be very organized when I arrive & set up each venue as a DJ. We have played outdoor & indoor ceremonies & weddings. A professional DJ service needs to bring not only the right equipment for each event, but also back up equipment to make sure they are prepared to run the event smoothly.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We provided services for a couple that hired us through Thumbtack for a wedding reception at Avion On The Water. We met with the bride and groom before they hired us to explain our DJ services and their needs for their special day. During their wedding reception we communicated with the bride, groom, catering staff, photographer, and their families throughout the evening to ensure they were all having a great time. We approached the bride about leading a train song and the bride and guests took the line around the entire hall. It was a great wedding reception and we received many compliments and a few 5 star reviews from it on our Thumbtack profile page and Facebook business page: A Divine Time Wedding DJ Service
