Learn guitar from a pro! My goal as your guitar teacher is to train the whole musician. If you want it, I can teach the musical language as a whole: how to read it, write it, hear it and speak it.
In addition, I pass on real-world applications of the skills you are spending time acquiring, conditioning and preparing you to play and function in professional situations, giving you an advantage over inexperienced or untrained players.
I’m going to start off by being honest, I don’t have any music degrees but, let me tell you why. I've been playing music since I was 4 years old. I now do it full time. I've been passionately pursuing and studying music for as long as I can remember. I have a lifetime of musical training and performance experience to draw from and I have a lot to offer you as a student.
If you’re a beginner, I can teach you the fundamental building blocks of music with a curriculum tailored to your dreams and goals. If you want to learn to really speak the language of music and take it all in, I can help you with that. If you just want to learn a few chords to strum along with your buddies in the basement or to impress your significant other, I can help you with that too.
If you’re a more advanced player, I can offer you the knowledge I have of various musical styles and approaches. It’s also helpful to have a critical objective ear to help you break through plateaus and to help inspire a path forward in your study or career.
Whatever you do, even if you don’t start studying with me, please begin. Music has done nothing but enrich my life and I wish you the same blessing. There is undeniable evidence that music creates a happier life.
“ No written word nor spoken plea
Can teach young minds what man should be
Not all the books on all the shelves
But what teachers are, themselves.”
“ If you always put limits on everything you do,
physical or anything else, it will
spread into your work and into your life.
There are no limits. There are only plateaus,
and you must not stay there,
you must go beyond them.”
- Bruce Lee
A. Go for quality over quantity. Yes, that means you will probably pay more, but it will be worth it. Plus, most teachers are willing to negotiate.. so you can probably get a better teacher for a cheaper price.
A. That's what the lessons are for. :)
A. What kind of experience do you have in playing professionally? Will you teach me what I want to learn as opposed to what you think I should learn? both?
