FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't feel my pricing is complicated at all. I look at the job, the travel, the time and give an estimate. At that point it's up to the client to accept or find a better deal. I would hope that if cost is the only thing that is keeping them from choosing me, to understand what all they are getting for my services. I am very fair priced. I also offer other services, that make it easier, if needed. My prices range from $50 to $85 an hour for single events. For repeat taverns, it's less, because it will be weekly or bi-weekly and that would be quoted in person or by phone. Usually a good estimate is given right away.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I constantly keep updating both DJ and Karaoke song selections. While it's too expensive to keep updating the Karaoke books, I do tell everyone, if it's not in the book, it doesn't mean I don't have it. Please ask, or write it down anyway. Occasionally I won't have something, but 9 times out of 10, i will. Since I have a lot of kids, they also keep me updated on the new music as well. I still prefer my own rock n roll, but, i have learned to love all genres.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It's always been a dream as I always loved music, singing and dancing. I never thought I would ever be able to do it. I happen to have the opportunity and I took it with-out batting an eye. It was like FATE called me. It takes a lot of money to start up a business like this and I invested a very large chunk. I promised my husband that he wouldn't regret it and so far, it's been a blessing. Please help me, make sure I can repay what I borrowed. You will have a GREAT time in helping me.
