Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. When searching for a private music instructor, always set up an interview / trial lesson with the teacher so you have a chance to meet each other and experience the teacher's teaching style. Most teachers will offer this no obligation consultation for free, but be prepared to pay for it if they don't offer.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. I am passionate about piano teaching and do my best to stay updated about the latest methods and materials available for piano teachers and their students! I am a member of the Music Teachers National Association and the Ohio Music Teachers Association. Attending monthly events and yearly conferences helps me stay connected and enthusiastic as a teacher. In addition, I maintain a blog at ColorInMyPiano.com, where piano teachers can connect and share ideas about piano teaching.
