Does your dog have issues?

I work one on one with dog owners to correct behavior problems. I travel to the home to consult with the owner(s) and observe the problems that need addressing. I educate owners in the areas of dog psychology, body language and methods of correction. At the end of the first visit, usually lasting anywhere from one and a half to two hours, I set up a plan for the owners to follow for the next week or two. I return at the end of that time to follow up and check progress. If further sessions are necessary, I will advise the owner of that at that time.

I specialize in aggression cases and rarely ever have to use a muzzle. I have been fortunate to have been able to save several dogs from having to go to shelters or be put to sleep. I absolutely love what I do, and it shows in my work. I will go the extra mile for my clients. The method I use is cheaper, in most cases, and more in depth and effective than traditional obedience training. My clients love the fact that they can use the knowledge I give them with any dog they may own in the future and never have to pay for training again. Clients love that, after trying everything else with little or no success, I can step in and correct the problem in 1-3 visits. There is no dog I cannot handle. I will travel anywhere within six hours of Cleveland, Ohio.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Do not hire anyone to train your dog, it is the owner that needs the training. Look for the "trainer" that will take on any dog regardless of the severity of it's behavior. Teaching a dog sit, stay, and heel will not solve other psychological issues that it may have.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Always ask whether they accept aggression cases. If not then they probably do not have the level of expertise you need to truly solve the problem. It is a good indicator of whether it will be worth your time and money or not.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. A client should understand that they are their own guarantee of success. They should also be sure that they are fully committed to doing all they can to follow the plan I set up for them. It requires doing things exactly the way I demonstrate them. Think about the results you want to achieve and whether you are willing to put in the full effort to achieve them.
