I bring 30 years of world class skills. I was taught by master barber icons in Philadelphia Pa. and Sardinia Italy as an owner-operator, and as an instructor at the Hair Experts Barber School in Columbus and the Ohio State School of Cosmetology, before I moved to Cincinnati. Also, I have spent four years of U.S. Navy (aboard ship for ye land lubbers) as an afloat barber, this is how I traveled all over the Caribbean and Europe, learning from masters there. I currently am training students at The Paul Mitchell Schools, bringing forward another generation of industry professionals.

    Russ is an excellent barber who cuts and styles ALL types of hair, all textures. I've visited his shop in Cincinatti where I've observed satisfied customers. The shoe shine service is a nice touch, always professionally done as well. An added plus: The atmosphere of the shop - it's relaxed, not rushed. When you enter King's Court it is like stepping back in time - all except for the styling!

A. Is Sex Work?


A U.S. Marine Colonel was about to start the morning briefing to his staff. While waiting for the coffee machine to finish brewing, the colonel decided to pose a question to all assembled. He explained that his wife had been a bit frisky the night before and he failed to get his usual amount of sound sleep. He posed the question of just how much of sex was "work" and how much of it was "pleasure?" A Major chimed in with 75-25% in favor of work. A Captain said it was 50-50%. A lieutenant responded with 25-75% in favor of pleasure, depending upon his state of inebriation at the time. There being no consensus, the colonel turned to the PFC who was in charge of making the coffee and asked for HIS opinion? Without any hesitation, the young PFC responded, "Sir, it has to be 100% pleasure." The colonel was surprised and as you might guess, asked why? "Well, sir, if there was any work involved, the officers would have me doing it for them." The room fell silent.. God Bless the enlisted man.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. First go to barber school and then go directly to beauty school. You will than be for all intent and purpose a master barber & beautician. You will enter the profession 5 -10 years worth of experience wise ahead of one who went to only 1 of the schools. Your customers will be happier and you will make more $$$ more quickly.
