Outstanding trainer with an outstanding demo dog! I took my dog to Mike to improve his off leash obedience. I ended up doing a 3 week board and train. Once I got my dog back it was almost like having a new dog! We are now competing in AKC obedience trail through out the Mid-West

I took my German Shepherd Bruno to Mike with M3K9 Academy and with in a couple of weeks, I felt I had a whole new dog. It is amazing what Mike accomplished in such a short amount of time. Bruno seems to be happier knowing his new behavior helps him get more positive attention. Mike went above and beyond after training Bruno, by giving me one on one attention and explaining his philosophies and why his methods are so effective. He was very professional and was on time to all appointments. I will be using him for more training in the future!

Mike will help your dog through any problems they may have. He is very personable and will take the time to make sure you are comfortable with training as well as methods of reinforcement. Recommend!

My service dog Saxon came from Mike. He did a wonderful job raising and training her. Saxon is well mannered and Mike was great at helping break things down in a way that I could easily understand. I couldn't be more pleased with my new service dog or the wonderful training both Saxon and I received from Mike.

Working with Mike was wonderful! When I first contacted him about training my german shepherd(Sawyer) I was very skeptical of sending her anywhere to be trained! After speaking with him I was much more comfortable. He was great about answering every question and being honest with me on what was needed. Before I contacted Mike things were difficult with Sawyer; she was very energetic and impulsive. She chased my cats and small dog constantly, she would get very excited and jump on my infant. We tried walking her daily, hoping it would wear her out, unfortunately it was just a workout for us because she yanked and pulled the entire time! My husband and I tried the training at Petsmart and it wasn't successful! She went to Mike for two weeks and when she returned we were shocked by the changes! No chasing cats or our smaller dog, no jumping on the baby, she's very calm, and we can walk her!!! I was even able to take her to the store with me and have her leash in my pocket as she stayed by my side the entire time even with people coming up to her! I would highly recommend Mike! He goes above and beyond not only with his training, but with teaching you!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We do not conduct "cookie cutter" training where every dog goes though the exact same thing using the exact same technique. Every dog is different and has different needs. Therefore, our pricing is based upon an evaluation of specific dog and the specific needs/requirements of the owner

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Most often clients find that they get much more for their money by doing a "Board and Train" program. This is where your dog comes to M3K9 and stays for training where our trainers take care of everything. Once the program is complete, the owners come in and learn how to handle their completely trained dog. It's much easier this way for both the owners AND the dog.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look for someone who stands by their work and and isn't afraid to tell you the truth about your dog and sets realistic expectations upfront. Ask to see some of their work, whether it's their own demo dog or a previous clients.
