Introduction: Waite, Schneider, Bayless & Chesley Co., L.P.A., one of the oldest law firms in Cincinnati, Ohio, was founded in 1860 as the law firm of Bowler and Cleveland. From its inception until the early 1960s, the law firm maintained primarily a defense practice, representing a multitude of railroads, manufacturing entities and insurance companies. Thereafter, Waite, Schneider, Bayless and Chesley established a plaintiffs' civil practice, and today, the law firm offers a wide range of legal services, with concentration in the areas of complex, class action, consolidated and multidistrict, tort, commercial, antitrust and securities litigation. Continuing professional legal education is a requirement on all attorneys and members of the firm who are actively involved in professional associations and civic affairs.
