Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. The most common jobs we do are house and business rekeying, more commonly known as changing tumblers, repairing or installing new locking hardware and opening and making keys to a customers home or vehicle

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Make sure you are hiring a long established business and that they have a business storefront, not just someone working out of their basement or a national 800 number subcontractor.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Picking a lock take some skill. It's not what you see on the Television or on Youtube.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. If it's a car question, we need to know the exact year, make and model.
If a customer needs locks rekeyed, we need to know exactly how many locks they have.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Our company stands out because of our longevity in serving the Greater Cincinnati area for over seven decades. We have been a local and family owned business for four generations now and show no signs of slowing down. Our techicians are highly trained professionals in the trade that they have chosen to work in and are constantly training to stay up to date on all of the advances in the security field.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. The most satisfying part of our job is knowing that when we have finished helping someone by either making keys for them or providing physical security for them, that they feel more in control of their life

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. We are frequently asked how quickly we can dispatch a technician to the customers location. In all cases, if we are called by 12:00pm. We will positively be there that day and in most cases if we are called up until 2:00pm, we will be there that day. The reason for that is the number of technician we employ, the training they have all received which makes them very proficient at their job and the ability of our staff to quickly adapt to the immidiate needs of a customer calling with an emergeny.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. The founder of our business was so proficient at opening safes, that he opened Mussolini's safe while in combat in 1945, before coming back to re-establish our company.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I started working here in 1985, the grandson of the founder, Joseph Schmidt.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. When we can serve people in our society who have been challenged with certain physical or mental needs and give them a system that makes their life more enjoyable, accessible and safe, that makes coming to work those days a little more satisfying.
