Piano Lessons

Fun and easygoing, I offer piano lessons from my home in Anderson for both adults and children. Just to tell you a little about myself, I have worked in Children's Ministry for 22 years. I love working with children and sharing my love for music with them.

I have been a pianist for many years and have played for many concerts and shows. My thoughts on teaching: I remember being terrified if I didn't get the time to practice and not wanting to go to lessons because of it. I don't ever want my students to feel that way. I believe this is the reason most children and adults quit. We (including children) have such busy lives that things like this happen every once in a while. I think what is more important is that they don't feel discouraged and continue to play. If at times they/you don't get the chance to practice for the lesson, it’s okay; we will work on it during our time together. I teach from my home in Anderson and charge twenty dollars for a 45-minute lesson.

For the adults that would like to try something new, we have a great time. It is very easygoing; we aren't out for perfection, just to have fun, try something a little new and learn to play for your own enjoyment. I teach from an adult book that is very easy to follow and will have you playing songs before you know it. For all of the youth that are interested in taking lessons, our lessons are a little more serious, but we have a lot of fun as well.
