I teach piano in the styles of classical, jazz, rock and pop, your choice or any combination. My students are ages 4 to 82! My students live in every section of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.
We offer optional recitals and annual opportunities to perform for The American Guild of Pianists. These piano lessons are taught by a former director of a 120-piece marching band.
Enjoy singing, this can also be incorporated. I have a piano degree from West Virginia University with three additional years of piano performance study with Dr. Michael Chertok, head of piano department, Cincinnati Conservatory of Music.
Lessons are personalized based on student’s and parent’s goals for music lessons. Lessons are 30 or 45-minute once weekly. Fees are $30 for a 30-minute lesson and $45 for a 45-minute lesson. Included in fees is music from a lending library.

Question and answer
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. The combination of music proficiency, music and education degrees, and an instructor who is personable and knows how to encourage every student to be the best musician they can be. The best music educators are those that can incorporate all aspects of music, including piano, instrumental music and voice-whatever students want to persue. Over time, these music variables change. It is important for students to understand that each area of study promotes a better understanding of music in general. References should verify that the teacher is reliable, competent, personable and genuinely dedicated. Parents must realize that they to have a role in encouraging their children to to succeed. Each student must understand that their success and enjoyment of music is commensurate with not only how much they practice, but how they use their practice time.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Many people teach piano. A customer should interview more than one instructor because there must be a connection between teacher and student. There is not a specific amount of time a student is required to practice each day or week. Instructors must be flexible from week to week understanding that many activities are important to students. As a former classroom teacher, I stress that students excel at all of their academic studies; therefore, if a student is having exam week, music practice time may be more or less based on other educational endeavors. Many of my students excel at various sports. There is time for all activities. However, just prior to Guild performances, piano must take priority.
