I'm a professional freelance makeup artist who has just relocated from Los Angeles' entertainment industry. I have been doing makeup professionally for over 12 years in LA before coming to be close to family.
I have professional experience in all mediums -- print, film, video, commercial, hi-definition... you name it, I can do it, but weddings are something I specialize in, as well as love to do.
I am quite reliable, easy going and will give the highest level of skill and professionalism. I am experienced in working with all ethnicities, skin types, and can say that I'm quite quick yet thorough with my application and styling. I have an airbrush kit for flawless application and know the importance of being detail-oriented, yet quick and thorough.
I am also open to discuss budgets in regards to rates. Most of all, I realize what an important day this is and only wish to make you feel at ease and more beautiful than you already are, inside and out.

I feel so lucky to have found Monique Hahn as the makeup artist for my wedding! Not only is she professional and talented in her field, she's got a wonderful and kind personality. All the ladies looked so naturally beautiful and her flawless makeup application and airbrush finish lasted the whole day and night. I highly recommend Monique to any bride-to-be searching for an excellent makeup artist!

Monique was definitely one of my favorite vendors! She has this calming presence and positive attitude that is contagious. She was always incredibly quick to respond, extremely flexible and easygoing, and very receptive to my concerns- she made everyone look amazing! My mom and mother in law looked stunning- like themselves only polished- not overdone in the least (neither of them wear makeup on a daily basis). My bridal party loved their makeup and it lasted all night. Definitely recommend without reservation!!

A. My most common types of jobs used to be productions in TV or Film, photo shoots and the like but since becoming a mother and being limited to not working 16 hour days, my most common jobs have been taking care of my son and beautifying brides. I still do some "industry" work with TV and such but I much prefer the time with my child, bringing smiles to him and to the clients who have faith in me.
A. I would say, when searching for a makeup artist, especially if it's for your wedding day, a big day with memories (and pictures) to last a lifetime, to find out what the artist's background/experience is, look at pictures of their work, set up a trial to get to know that artist in a more personal way to see if you gel with them in a positive way and like their work and then go with your gut. The artist should be there to serve you and make you feel at ease on your big day in every way
A. I come from a very eclectic professional background and my work stands out not only with skills but with attitude for my whole reason for being in this business is to bring happiness and beauty not only on the surface but within.
A. I love making people smile and making them feel great about themselves inside and out. I love the diversity and the creativity and the fact I get to meet new people all over the world. It never gets stale. It's always a joy.
A. What are your rates is the most common question, and do you travel? My answer is dependent on their needs for all I aim to do is meet their needs. Yes, I always do travel and my rates vary depending on the size of the party and the services provided. I try to stay competitive with prices but true to myself with the experience I have to offer.
