Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Our most common types of jobs are usually wedding, event, portraiture and product related. A good portion of these are driven by references from prior clientle!

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. #1. Ask for references from their clients...very important!
#2. Inquire how many years they have been working at their craft.
#3. What is their educational background and how does it correspond with the service they are providing you.
#4. Are they insured? Most venues require it and you will want to know they care enough to have insurance.
#5. Is what they do just a part time thing, or a weekend hobby?
#6. Will they dress professionally? It's disrespectful to you and your guests when your photographer shows up in sweats or a tee shirt for your special occasion.
#7. Contact us for more free advice!

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. There is no secret to hard work. Great photography is more than picking up a sophisticated camera and pushing a button. You can't conjure up experience and an artistic eye with the wave of a magic wand. It takes dedication to hone one's craft. We keep a fresh perspective on things and approach each situation with a new viewpoint. We love what we do!

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. The first thing a potential customer will probably see or hear about will be our portfolio of work and level of service. The rest is learned after we have a casual 'get to know you' meeting. There is never any obligation to chat about your needs and we freely give out quotes at our meetings.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Our work stands out from the rest because of our artistic background, our knowledge of photography, our level of experience and most importantly....the love of what we do shows!

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. The interaction with our clients and providing them with the best service possible.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Do you have references? Our answer is yes.
Do you travel with backup equipment? Our answer is yes.
Are you insured for any venue? Our answer is yes.
Do you charge for travel to our location? Our answer is no.
Do you dress professionally? Our answer is yes.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. There are so many wonderful incidences we've experienced while working for our clients. Too many to write down in this little square. Our clients quickly become our friends and this is what makes our profession so much fun! Each event is unique and special. Whether it is a wedding, a reunion, a surprise birthday party, a product or senior shoot...they are all awesome occasions!

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. We want our clients to know we will work very hard to provide them with the best service possible. All of this will be accomplished with professionalism, working within their budget and always executed with the 'artistic eye' we are known for!

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. We've spent our entire lives involved in art, photography and communications.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. We are proud of all the work we produce. Our clients are wonderful and we love staying in touch with them. We believe our portfolio of work speaks for itself.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Most definitely! Digital photography and it's related software changes rapidly. Many new and exciting developments can be overlooked if one doesn't stay in tune with current events and education.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. Digital photography is constantly growing and changing. We strive to keep up to date with the latest equipment, software and education.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. No, we don't have a complicated pricing structure. We have 3 popular packages for our weddings, but always tailor our services toward our client's photographic needs. Each individual has a budget, and we do our best to accomodate them.
