Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Believe it or not, there is an art to cleaning! It does sound mindless, and it is as long as its done correctly! The job itself is physical labor and takes a toll on you, however if you use the right equipment and tools than it is possible to do it fast and right! However, if it seems to good to be true, it probably is- make sure when you are looking into a cleaning company that you check their background, get references, if the costs are extremely low, it may be that you get what you pay for. On the flip side, all my customers that have used a large nationwide company have told me they "miss or forget" to clean things everytime. This is because they do not send the same person out to your home everytime. It takes atleast 3 times of cleaning a residential home to get a system down, if you do not do the same house everytime, how will you get a system down? How will you know their specific needs? So I wonder how they can charge so much money for their services?

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. It is physically demanding work, as for inside secrets- The right products make all the difference in the world. And the first thing I tell new employees, ALWAYS clean top to bottom... it just makes sense :)
If your a pet lover, just sweeping the floors once a day will help keep the pet hair under control, then call us for weekly service and we will handle the rest!

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. The Task Tackler's main concern is keeping our customers satisfied! We do the job right EVERYTIME, we are very detailed and thorough, listening to the requests of our customers everytime we provide service! By going above and beyond our competition with lower prices and excellent service, our goal is to win you as a repeat client everytime!

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. OUR CUSTOMERS! I also like being in different atmospheres, travel and on the go. I like having physical work and don't do well if I have to sit or work at a desk. As long as I am up and moving- I am happy- Therefore this is a perfect fit for me.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Q- Do I need to do anything before you come to clean?
A- No, The Task Tacklers does not expect you to clean for the cleaning company to come. We offer a different service than most cleaning companies, we are very detailed and will put things in the correct place for you, if we are unsure where it goes than we leave it with the other unknown things in a certian place you have specified.

Q- What is your background?
A- I went to Columbus State and earned my Associates Degree in Nursing, while going to school, I worked for my Parents cleaning company. After being in the Medical Field for 5 years and still working part time for my Parent's company, I went back to school and obtained my degree in Business Management. I then took over the family owned company and created The Task Tacklers. Running the business now a little differently by adding new services, new employees and keeping the Customer Service guidelines of our Small Family Business, The Task Tacklers is growing faster than ever!

Q- Do I need to leave when you clean?
A- No, this is YOUR home, The Task Tacklers has raised the bar on cleaning, we are thorough everytime we clean and will clean around you! There is no reason why any company should make you leave your home while you are having services done there, or at least that is my belief.

Q- How many people work for you if any?
A- I have a total of 4 employees that work for The Task Tacklers, and also 4 family members that help on a part time basis. In my Business plan, I am looking to hire more folks to join our team and branch out by getting more customers! Although we are growing faster than I expected, I still am not ready to let go of the obligations I have always done for the company.

Q- How far do you travel?
A- We have clients located everywhere in the Central Ohio area- from Marysville to Pickerington, Delaware to South Bloomfield, and everywhere in between

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. I have TONS of success stories, it's always good to see when you go in and completely clean someones home and the next time you go- you are able to see that they can now keep up on it throughout the week and you have taken that initial stress off of them.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. I run the business, the cleaning is my escape! I like to get away from the stacks of paperwork and endless tasks that are always at the office, depending on the day, which every day is different, there are some things that come up that may take longer than expected, which is why we schedule our appts. with an hour time window for arrival.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I created The Task Tacklers to help residential clients and small business owners the opportunity to hire us to do errands, organizational services, cleaning and other odd jobs that you never had time to get to or couldnt find the motivation to do them. However, there was definately a high demand for cleaning services. Although we still offer many types of services to our clients, we mainly focus on cleaning/janitorial services to simplify the business paperwork.

A. People who are overwhelmed, with busy lifestyles and familes on the go are our most common client.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. The Task Tacklers makes it a point to do every job right the first time, we want to look at our work at the end of the day and know that we can proudly stand behind our work, therefore, every single job we do, no matter how big or small, we are proud of it and I am proud to put my name behind my business!!

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. I always go to seminars held in the Central Ohio area, I also have a membership for the the latest things to offer our clients via webinar. I keep up to date on all the products other companies are using and making sure our price is competitive! I am a member of a few local small business groups and always looking into new developments that are affordable and will benefit my customers!!

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. There are always new products made available in the industry, I am a HUGE fan of the Shark Steam Mop for Hardwood Floors, along with Method Products. The Green Products do not work as well as the other products but hopefully within the next 10 years they will be able to perfect them so they are enviornmentally safe and clean just as well!!!

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.

A. I recently had to completely organize and clean a families house, they allowed me access to everything and washed their hands of any of it, they went on vacation for 5 days and when they came back, it was completely done, I created a system that worked for them and one that would be easy to maintain. I always offer the client an opportunity to do an hourly rate or just a flat estimate, they chose to do the flat rate- when I went back 2 weeks later for their bi-weekly cleaning, they were still so happy with how easy their day to day life flowed without the clutter and disorganization. A success story indeed!

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. We give estimates and our estimate sheet breaks down the cost of each service for you, so you can pick and choose what you would like done for the price you can afford. It is also broken down by how often you choose to have the services done, obviously weekly clients get a better rate than monthly clients... etc etc. Depending on what all you want done, we offer Basic Cleaning Services and Very Detailed Cleaning Services, all priced the same, the basic just doesnt include all the detailed does.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Know the business side and the cleaning side of it before you start a business, the failure rate for small businesses in Ohio is 95%, the reason being is because it is a lot more involved than most think, make sure you have the expenses covered, a vehicle that will carry a lot of supplies, know how to talk to customers and of course know how to clean!

A. What do you expect from a cleaning company?

I would expect excellent service, since this is not a service I need but a service I want. I would want my specific requests to be honored, I would want the services promised to be honored also, I would expect them to arrive when they promised and be friendly. I would expect the cleaning to be done right and that it is easy to communicate with them so if there is a problem, I can discuss it and know that it is resolved. I also would expect them to be fairly priced and experienced.

    Renee, from Task Tacklers, has been cleaning our home in the Columbus area for a year and a half. She is extremely trustworthy (We immediately felt comfortable enough to provide her with a key to our house), and we have sinced hired the Task Tacklers to house and dogsit while we travel. We return from vacation to a thoroughly cleaned home and our two happy, healthy German Sheperds. Renee is timely, and prompt. She always arrives on the day promised...but somehow she is always accommodating when I make last minute requests or reschedule appointments! Her prices are very reasonable...much lower than estimates we received from two large chain cleaning companies. I would recommend her services to anyone. If you have pets, she would be ideal. She knows all the tricks to cleaning up pet hair and she is SO kind and loving to our pets!
