- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Since childhood I've enjoyed working outside with my hands. I started mowing lawns when I was 10 years old and even then I knew, this was the career for me. From 18 to 21 I worked for several different landscaping companies and gained the experience and confidence to open my own business.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
This changes throughout the season. In early spring, we do a ton of spring clean-ups and mulching. As we approach late spring and early summer we get into patio and retaining wall season. Then we wrap up the year with fall clean-ups and leaf removal. In winter we plow snow and spread salt.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When hiring any professional contractor the most important thing is references. Thanks to web sites like Thumbtack and Angie's List this is easily accomplished.
