With over 12 years of experience, I provide the following services, on or off site:

Web Design: WordPress CMS Installation and Configuration of Plugins

- Configuring your web host and setting up email accounts
- WordPress theme design, theme modifications and
tweaking
- Simple search engine optimization (websites/blogs)
- Connecting your site to social media
- Tutoring in WordPress, so your team can take over the
reins when ready!

Graphic Design:

- Designing accessible graphic systems for print and web
- Quick turnaround on small to medium-sized projects
- Ability to work directly to your preferred printer
- Healthy knowledge of a myriad of print processes

Past clients have enjoyed the time spent with me, unraveling the mysteries of brand and/or web-building. I am an open and honest teacher, willing to share as much as I can about what can realistically be done and how quickly.

A majority of the work I've done has been by phone and internet, although I relish opportunities to visit client offices and meet the teams I'll be working with!

Communication Process:
An initial email or phone conversation is optimal, followed by a meeting in person, and then, design comps and print proofs are saved in pdf or jpg format and emailed to my clients. This saves us time and money, and helps us stay clear about our project objectives. It also allows multiple team members to stay directly connected and in the loop.

Payment Packages:
I offer a wide range of solutions, from PayPal to monthly checks in the mail. I work with each client to configure the best ways to complete the job while working within realistic budgets, and after the initial work is done, I'm available on an hourly basis to help further craft your brand elements.

Lisa is amazing! She was able to understand my needs as a small business and create the shell of the website which included the overall look and feel. She then held my hand teaching me Word Press so that I could take over the reins of maintaining content. She is always a phone call or text away to meet my needs. And whenever I have an opportunity I refer her to others!!

I've worked with Lisa on numerous projects. From the moment we met I knew she "got it". Professional, creative, timely and willing to listen to my hair-brained ideas and put them into creative projects that work. I've worked with Lisa on logo designs from my terrible sketches, to website designs to mailings and everything in between.

On our last project I gave her nothing more than a VERY broad concept of a logo and she came up with a dozen designs that were all top notch. I've actually saved one of them for a future business venture that doesn't even exist yet because it was such a great design.

I have no problem recommending Lisa to any client that wants very high quality at very fair pricing work done for them. I've even recommended Lisa to other friends of mine that were very happy with not just what she created but how she worked. One of, if not the best, creative people I've ever worked with.

Lisa McLymont has been a consistent and positive addition to Columbus College of Art & Design's Continuing Education Faculty team. She has taught open source web design for us for the past two years with rave reviews from current and past students. She has a knack for relating to the class in a way that allows for great personal growth, quality experience and a professional end product. Lisa works hard and creatively to resolve any issues that may crop up, which is a wonderful asset particularly in such a fast paced environment. I highly recommend Lisa for those looking for quality professional, print and web design work; she truly is pleasure to work with and delivers great results.

In short, Lisa is a great designer. She has an exquisite eye for detail and is highly professional. I have worked with Lisa on more than a few projects, and every time the clients have been very happy with her work and she has delivered outstanding results. As a web developer I have worked with many designers, and Lisa is one of the best.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Be prepared for a lot of initial questions, as well as a fair amount of excitement in response to how I can help!

Be patient as we engage in "The Process" of discovery and getting to know one another. My intention is to be a partner and off-site team member!

Stay in touch! I am open to many avenues of communication to help keep the flow going without holding up progress. From in-person meetings and emails to all team members, to weekly phone calls, google chat sessions and last minute text messages, I can and will be available to help as much as I can and as soon as I can.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. I share everything I feel I'd want to know if I were to customer. For some, that's too much info, and for others it's just right! Knowing that my customers have a basic understanding of what it takes to get certain aspects done makes the whole creative process easier, and having my customers know how to do things like simple coding and managing their own resources is truly empowering!

My approach tends to be a bit more honest than my peers… if that's good for you, it's great for me!

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Can you handle all of my needs, and if not, what specifically can you handle? The range of services may include: print design, web design and development, server management, PHP/XML/HTML5/Javascript coding, search engine optimization, printing, photography, illustration, and copy writing.

I do not provide all of these services listed, but have resources to call on to fill those slots. We can and should discuss and clarify each of these, as you may end up having a need for all of them along the way.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Do I want to hire a service provider that takes the project and completely manages it, from start to finish, including maintenance? Or do I prefer a provider that helps me get an initial print piece or website setup and helps me learn how to keep it updated?

Do I want to have regular access to a partner that provides graphics and web enhancements as I need them, even on short notice? Or would I rather have an a la carte type of relationship, without a monthly commitment?
