Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Weddings, senior portraits, birthday parties, graduation parties, engagement photos, and family portraits.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Try not to hire a photographer based on price. Look at their work and read reviews. If you are on a budget let them know what it is and see if they will work with you.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I capture weddings by shooting candid and formal shots. I look for moments that are unexpected and memorable.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I like being able to share a special day with families and friends of the bride and groom. It is a happy and joyous time.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How much are your packages? My packages generally start at $375 depending on how long you want me to photograph your wedding for.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. Overall I would say I love it when the bride and groom let me take the time to take them aside and photograph just them.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I decided to get into wedding photography when someone asked me if I could do their wedding and pay me what they could afford. I found that there was a real need for affordable wedding photography for couples who could not afford a photographer that was over $1,000.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. I watch online workshops of well known photographers. I read wedding photography books.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. I have 3 basic packages that are under $1,000. I try to work with what the couples budget is and make it affordable for them to hire me.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Try to get a job as an assistant or be a second shooter at a friend or families wedding. Look at other photographer's work and read up on the subject. Have a good camera and know how to use it very well.
