Whether you are investigating the question if can I sing or could I really play guitar or piano, or an experienced singer or musician looking to strengthen your voice and sharpen your skills, style, and interpretation, you may be assured that you are on a path of adventure, creativity, and artistic expression, which is accessible to all.

No matter your age, young or old, music is a gift that enhances your life, and allows you to express emotions and messages, as well as to learn in ways possible by no other means.

Lessons are available in my home studio or online, via Skype, Face Time, or ooVoo.

Notes to voice students:

It's no mystery that it takes some degree of instinct to listen critically to your voice. But remember, all people can enhance their singing ability through proper understanding and use of the vocal and breathing mechanics, good intonation, interpretation, diction and a number of other factors. Stop singing to your brush, and start singing for real! Let's work together on it.

We will work intensively on properly-supportive breathing and awareness of the vocal apparatus. Also, in addition to actually singing, voice students will learn about basic chord structure, musical notation and reading, because these are helpful to you as a singer. We will also examine and learn a myriad of other great things that will help you understand your instrument, learn your art and enjoy it even more!

Instrument lessons include beginning guitar and beginning piano lessons for adults and youth (age 10 and up).

Yes. Yes, you can. You can learn to play piano or guitar. You can learn an instrument by learning, study and practice! Does it sound unfun? The good news is it can be very fun!

Students will not only learn to play simple melodies in these introductory lessons; you will also learn about basic chord structure, musical notation and reading. You will also examine, and learn a myriad of other great things that will help you understand your instrument, learn your chosen art, and enjoy it even more!

She is the owner/principal of A Higher Note, a well-established business offering the following services:

* Music Instructor

Natalie provides private, in-studio lessons and coaching to youth and adult students for all levels and styles of voice, beginning folk guitar, and beginning piano.

* Early Childhood Music Educator

Natalie provides early childhood and adult special needs music and movement instruction. She is fully trained, licensed, and experienced in program design and implementation for both Kindermusik International curricula and Music Together curricula.

* Performer

Natalie provides inspirational and pop vocal performances for weddings, receptions, parties and special occasions.

Natalie's Other Qualifications:

* Teaching, directing, and performance experience across a broad range of traditional and contemporary musical styles and formats, with a unique ability to work with the very young and the elderly, as well as school-age and adult constituencies
* 20 years of consistent, enthusiastic Christian outreach through music, theater, and secular ministries, with particular emphasis on intergenerational connections and individual empowerment and growth
* Extensive experience with large and diverse congregations and populations, working in leadership positions with high-level professionals and blue-collar members and attendees of all ages
* Hands-on experience with sound boards and systems, space and visual effect constructs, and event planning
