Introduction: I have been photographing for twenty years. When it comes to sports photography, I am not afraid to get close to the action, on the sidelines, as close as possible. I use Canon professional cameras and lenses that help me to capture images at ten frames per second, freezing the action.

From a mother's perspective and a horse and pet owner I must say that the photography and services provided by Matthias Leguire are beyond expectations. The sports photos, collages and posters are superb and he definately has a gift for capturing the essence of the equine world. Top notch is my rating!!

Spectacular action shots of our Varsity Soccer team were taken by Matthias at two of our games this season. During the sectional playoff game he took over 1700 images and downloaded them for viewing and purchase within hours of the event! He arrived early and stayed late, covering two overtime periods and capturing all of the action! Impressive images and reasonable rates are just two of the reasons why I will hire him again to cover next year's games! Thanks Matthias!

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Yes, I feel I will always be a student of photography. I read photography magazines and books regularly and I also attend workshops and classes to learn new tricks. I try to evolve with the industry, and keep my equipment up to date as well.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Be wary of "Natural Light" photographers. Most of them are inexperienced and do not know how to use a flash or strobes. In portrait photography it is necessary to use a flash or strobe in most photo shoots to get rid of shadows and to illuminate the subject.
