Modern Classics Design

Introduction: Modern Classics Design is distinguished for the intelligent integration of residential and interior design through the refined use of materials, sophisticated color, and strong silhouettes. We design both contemporary and traditional residences and interiors, often combining elements of each. Innovation, editing and style are basic fundamentals of our work. Clean, timeless expressions are created by combining the best elements in design, old and new, into balance. By incorporating unique and individual style, we create atmospheres that are at once collected and original. Our work is at home in the most elegant urban surroundings as well as relaxed weekend retreats. Our environments have visceral appeal, where composition, balance, color and form come together. Helping people is the most gratifying aspect in my profession and my life. Our residential clients, especially, seem least likely to be familiar or comfortable with design and construction processes, practices or methods. I remain very close to my clients throughout the design and construction process to ensure their experience is comfortable, confident and enjoyable. The types of projects I’m typically involved with include elements of adaptive reuse, reconfigurations of existing space and/or additions to primary and campus structures. My abilities and success in these such projects have been to form and develop new and transformed environments with a strong, memorable and recognizable sense of identity and endurance. In as much as this has been very compelling to me in my work, I also find the human element of client involvement and team work to be equally gratifying and exciting. Through all of this, success for me has been to discover this presence with clients and to make a new project celebrate that discovery.
