Clapboard video exceeded all of our expectations for our wedding in January 2010. Jeff and Jim were absolutely wonderful to work with. They personally met with us and even attended the rehearsal so they wouldn’t miss a thing the day of the wedding. They captured all of the important moments and even the little ones that mean a lot later. Your wedding day goes by so quickly and it is nice to sit back now and enjoy it over and over again. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. Good Cost. Amazing Service. Awesome Product.

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. We do a lot of weddings. They are the main source of our company as we specialize in them. Second to that, soccer games and other sporting events.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Shop around. There are many of us out there and we all have different packages and options. Read through all that they have to offer and compare what they will do FOR you. Our number one rule is; it's all about the client.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. If I were a customer shopping for a videography service, i would ask to view samples and actual packages already completed. There is no better way to see how someone can do in this field then to take the time to view past work.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Before hiring anyone of this trade; know what you want and how you want it. Know what music you want, what shots you want us to capture, what your timeline might be that day. The more information you can provide us, the better we can do our job of making yu a great video!

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. We stand out from others doing the same thing because we care about the client and love what we do. Most others are in it solely for the money.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. We love the people that we meet with every job. We also love the fact that every job is different. It's not always the same everytime, it's unique.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. The question we get asked the most is, "Will you shoot something I want?". The answer is a resounding "yes". We are there to work FOR you, not promote ourselves.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. We were shooting in a park for a bridal prep segment. The sun was bright that day and there was a huge fountain spewing water into the air. The sun hit the water in a certain way and created a rainbow. In the forefront of this was the lovely bride turning her head towards our camera. It was poetry!

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. A lot of clients don't think it takes that long to complete a full day of shooting and they think we charge too much and that uncle Joe can do it better. The fact is that it takes at least 50 hours to go through all the footage and edit it together to make a video you will cherish the rest of your lives. Uncle Joe may be cheaper, but he will not have the skill or equipment needed to create such a great video.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I picked up a video camera in a high school class 20 years ago and never looked back. I was hooked. before that my grandfather used to have Super 8mm film that I used to play around with. Over the years i did friends weddings and shot anything I could.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. Any job we do, we are proud of! We love what we do and take great pride in putting out a great video in the end. The project will not be delivered unless we are 150% satisfied with it ourselves.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. We are always looking at the new trends in equipment and techniques. We subscribe to some video magazines and keep up with the latest technology as fast as the budget will allow us to do so. We always try to stay ahead of the curve.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. The latest things happening in our field is tapeless recording media and 3D capabilities. We are looking into bothe of these things to better our service to our clients.
