FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I definitely stay up to date on the latest research and developments in the fitness field. As an ACSM member, I receive their journals and read them cover to cover. They contain great research and training articles. I am subscribed to several other journals and publications for the latest and greatest news! I also do continuing education to keep my personal training and group fitness instructor certification current. Continuing education is very important. What good is a personal trainer if they don't stay up to date on the latest research? Make sure that your trainer knows what he/she is talking about!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Growing up I was always in to health and fitness. As an athlete, being in shape has always been something that is very important to me. I wanted to be able to show others the importance of living a healthy lifestyle and helping them achieve it. There is a need, especially in Columbus for fitness professionals. Many people don't know how to start living a healthy life and get fit, that is where I come in! I wanted to be able to fill that need. There is nothing that I love seeing more than a client change for the better. Nothing gets better then seeing them happy and healthy!
