FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing varies depending on what you’re looking for. Travel, location, time and image count are all considered.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love having the opportunity to get to know my clients a little before we meet! Having an initial phone conversation to get the ball rolling always helps both myself and my clients to get a feel for one another before moving forward. Once my client has given me the thumbs up, I email a few things over-such as a client questionnaire which helps me see a little bit their personality and what they’re looking for, a wardrobe guide with tons of tips and tricks on what to wear, tons of inspiration images that can be helpful to clients that aren’t sure what to do in front of a camera, a thorough contract and an invoice! We discuss location options based on what they’re hoping to achieve in the shoot and I make myself available for wardrobe questions and opinions. Once we determine the location and have everything planned, we are set! On the day of the shoot, we meet at our planned spot and usually chat for a few minutes before starting. I prefer waiting until my client is comfortable before turning my camera on, plus I love meeting all of my clients! It’s so great to connect with the people I photograph and it effectively shows in my work. My sessions last anywhere from 1 hour to 2 hours long and we’re able to shoot in multiple settings while having opportunities for wardrobe changes as well. Once we’re all finished, it always feels like I’m saying goodbye to a new friend or one that I’ve had for years. I assure every client of my confidence and excitement regarding our shoot and the post processing afterwards. 2 weeks after our session, I will have finished their beautiful photo gallery and I send a link to them through text or email! They will be able to view, download, share and print (if desired) directly on the gallery website. Once I know my client is happy with everything, I am happy!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am completely self taught. I read books all the time and learn from photographers that I admire through research. I’ve honestly learned the most by getting out there and failing. It drives me to educate myself and learn what works and what doesn’t, first hand.
