Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Some companies will only help you with the major projects. NLP is prepaired to handle the 1/2 hour repair or that 2 month addition. Also- we are locally owned and operated. And our employees are local residents.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. When you hire a professional, don't think you are asking too many questions. Once the details of your job are ironed out- ask for it in writing. Also, an estimate is a professional guess (based on experience) on what your project will cost. Additional costs above the estimate should generally be as a result of material increases, unknown/ undiscovered problems, or unexpected causes for delays. Increases should not be from the contractor's poor workmanship, poor job management, lack of proper equipment, or lack of knowledge.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Are you insured? Have you done this type of work before? What are your terms? When can you start? How long will it take? Do you do all the clean up? Can i have some names of persons that you have done work for?
