Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. We Stage more Vacant homes for investors. Also, we stage vacant homes listed by realtors (where the seller has already moved). We would welcome the option to stage more owner occupied properties. This is the least expensive type of Home Staging because we are using the sellers furniture and personal items. We, generally, don't have to bring in supplies. The less supplies furnished by us, the less costly for the
seller.

When we do supply the assessories, these items are, for example, lamps, tables with spreads( the spreads on the tables allow us to show off color in the room and match the colors in the window treatments,
We also supply the window treatments, dress our the kitchen and bathrooms.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. An owner occupied seller can, actually stage their own home with the report we provide. However, we explain,, that most sellers do not have the time, take the time to complete what is necessary. Their lives are already busy with work and family. If the seller is able to follow thru, usually the seller is not able to complete in a timely manner. A Professional Home Stager can get the job done in a timely manner which is very important to the seller whenn listing their home on the market. First Impressions are EVERYTHING.....

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. My experience as a Realtor shows thru with my work.
Some stagers are also Decorators. decorating and staging are opposite styles. Decorating adds color and personality to your space. Staging is about creating a focal point in each room and highliting that area. Also, staging is about de-personalization and minimalizing the decor and furniture and assessesories.

Staging is about showing off the space (size and shape) in each room. Enhancing the positives and turning the negatives into positives.

Staging is getting that "WOW" when the buyer first walks thru the door.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. We enjoy viewing the property, taking the photos (before), explaining the process of What To Do,
Why To Do and When To Do. Helping people has always been the best part of this job. Home Staging still allows us to work with people, much as we did as a Realtor. The after photos are saved for the statistical
results after the property is sold.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Most customers ask the price. The answer is always,
the size of the property, ie, number of bedrooms, number of batahrooms, size of kitchen, size of each room, finished basement (y or n), size and number of windows. The answers to these questions, determine the style, type and quantity of assessories to be supplied. We also, supply window treatments, therefore, size, shape and number of windows is important. Another point is if the property needs to b e staged with furniture. If so, then we coordinate, decide what pieces to rent and make arrangements for delivery and pick up.
