Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Proof-reading and editing manuscripts for authors wishing to go on to publication. Cover design for self-published authors and e-books.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Always be sure to check references and, if possible, talk to others who've used the provider's services. In this age of the Internet, it's easy to advertise services, but not all ads can deliver.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Skills and experience cover a wide range of subjects, and attention to detail and editing abilities have been proven in the commercial arena.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. The written word--those of others and my own--are my passion.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How much will it cost to have my manuscript proof-read or edited?

Each project is different; I charge per word or per page, whichever is most cost-effective for the customer. Longer works will cost more than shorter pieces.

If I hire a professional editor, will my work get published?

Any writer has the possibility of being published if their work is as good as they can make it, and they've paid close attention to the standards of writing and publishing.
