Congratulations! You're about to start on your lifetime journey together as a married couple, and your marriage ceremony is the initial step in marking your dedication to each other. Whether you're arranging a small and intimate ceremony, with only a few loved ones, or a marvelous celebration with 200 of your most intimate friends, your wedding ceremony assists in setting the tone of your marriage and must demonstrate your identity as a couple.

I will work with you to develop and create a ceremony that best matches your personalities and needs as a couple. I specialize in secular, civil wedding ceremonies, done at the venue of your choice within Central Ohio and Columbus. I also officiate vow renewals and commitment ceremonies. I'll collaborate with you to create your perfect ceremony!

I will provide you with an outline by e-mail of wedding ceremony possibilities containing secular, civil, spiritual, nondenominational, nonreligious, and religious options. Your actual wedding will include the particular choices you make, and nothing else. Every element of your wedding are completely up to you. Any line, word, section, or paragraph can be changed in any way you like. I want your wedding to be precisely what you want it to be; what you decide to include in your wedding ceremony should always truly come from your heart.

I'll either offer you a standard ceremony, or I'll work with you to produce a custom service developed especially for the you. Some or all of the parts of the ceremony may be customized.

My retainer fee to reserve a date for a usual ceremony is $50, with an additional fee of $200 due 7 days before the wedding. A rehearsal isn't included, but can be added. Fees are lower for small impromptu ceremonies and elopements. Kindly contact me.

Chase was absolutely wonderful! He exceeded all of our expectations and gave us a perfect ceremony. He was very accommodating and included all of our crazy wedding day requests. From the beginning stages of the wedding planning to the rehearsal & ceremony, Chase allowed us to stay true to ourselves, take in the moment, and have the ceremony of our dreams. His calming spirit, patience and sincere kindness set the tone for a perfect wedding.

My Husband and I were looking for a unique ceremony and officiant. As soon as we met with Chase we were certain he was the right person for the job. He was very easy to work with, gave us many samples of ceremonies, and was very flexible. He helped us create a unique ceremony and even got a few laughs, which helped to keep everyone from crying. We got so many compliments on how we made the ceremony our own, which we owe to Chase. We highly recommend Chase if you are looking to make your ceremony special and unique. Choosing Chase for our officiant was the easiest part of our whole wedding planning process.

Chase officiated our wedding in May, and we really enjoyed working with him right from the start.  He created a customized wedding ceremony for us included requests we made for a wine box ceremony, special readings, and a ring blessing ceremony.  He communicated with us regularly regarding our ceremony and was so willing to accommodate anything we wanted.  We even asked Chase for advice for different parts of the ceremony, and he had great ideas to help us.  We loved working with him!

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. My primary piece of advice for someone looking to hire an officiant is to meet with them face to face. You want to make sure that the officiant makes you comfortable and that you "mesh", because on your wedding day, no matter how many guests you have, the ceremony primarily involves just the three of you, and you want to be at ease with the person performing your ceremony.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. The most important information that clients should know before seeking out an officiant is the date and time of their ceremony. Knowing the location and type of ceremony that they would prefer is helpful, but not necessary. The absolute most important information is the date and time of the ceremony so that the officiant can verify that he/she is available to perform the ceremony.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. My primary job is working with adults with disabilities, and I officiate weddings because I thoroughly enjoy being a part of couples' special days, not because I have to. I am extremely flexible and respectful of any wishes of a couple that I am working with, because after all, I am participating in their ceremony and not my own. I work tirelessly to ensure that the ceremony I am performing is reflective of the couple in front of me.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. One of the most common questions I am asked is whether or not I am flexible with my ceremonies, to which I always answer "Yes!". I like to start off by reviewing a number of different ceremonies with my clients, so I can get an idea of the couples' style and desires for their ceremony. Then, I help compile a ceremony that is unique to the couple and that incorporates any special touches that they desire, until we develop their perfect ceremony.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. One of my favorite ceremonies was one that I performed for a bride and groom and a small number of their family on the Main Street bridge in downtown Columbus. Standing with the skyline as a backdrop, the wedding was held on a brisk October day. The most memorable part was that pedestrians and cyclists crossing the bridge stopped on either side of the family while I was performing the ceremony, adding to the number of spectators, and that they joined in with applause once the happy couple was announced.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I decided to become an officiant after a best friend became engaged and asked me if I would be willing to perform their wedding. I felt honored to be asked to perform such a meaningful task for someone so close to me, and feel just as honored each and every time I am involved in any couples' special day.
