Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. We install new gutters or replace old systems with 5" and 6" aluminum gutters and downspouts.

We repair existing gutters and fix the many problems caused by other gutter companies.

We offer top quality leaf protection (gutter guard) systems, including screens, Shur Flo, Leaf Relief, REAL cover and others.

We provide gutter cleaning services.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. -Check the Better Business Bureau and Angie's List.
-Contact the Owner of the company and visit the office and warehouse
-Make sure they are licensed, bonded and insured (YOU are liable for injuries, etc. if someone is not insured!)
-Check out their website
-Check multiple review sites on the web (ex: Google, Yelp, CitySearch, thumbtack, Yellow Pages, Yahoo Business, Facebook, etc)
-Ask for local references

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Why do different compaies charge different rates for a product that seems to be the same?
All seamless gutter systems are NOT the same.
-We offer Thicker gauge aluminum
-We use industry leading Raytec hangers
-We use more hangers per foot the others
-We use 2" screws (others use 1" or 1.5")
-We offer a longer 20-year material warranty
-We have an unprecedented 5-year labor warranty

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. We are one of the few reliable, trustworthy and truly professional companies in the gutter industry. We are licensed, bonded and insured - you should NEVER allow a company or individual on your property without insurance. We offer 5-year labor warranties and 20-year material warranties.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. We get the opporunity to meet all varieties of people and see every type of architecture. Over the years, we have experienced (almost) everything in the industry - although there's always something new out there! The best part, however, is when we finish a job and the customer realizes they made a good decision to go with us. We know our customers are satisfied by our near-zero call back ratio and the high percentage of repeat customers we have.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. What size gutters do you have/should I get?
-We have a 5" machine AND a 6" machine. Typically, residential projects use 5" gutters and commercial jobs get 6".

How long will the job take?
-Nearly every job we do is done in one day, and usually within a couple hours.

What services do you offer?
-We install new gutter systems, replace old ones, repair existing gutters and downspouts, and offer cleaning and leaf protection.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. To be very honest, my favorite story from work is not truly work related! We have a staff full of Ohio State football fans. We have had the fortune of working for multiple ex-Buckeye players, including one from the 1961 National Championship team (I'll leave the name out). He was so pleased with our work that he has recommended us to others. He also let us take pictures with his championship rings and check out his other memorabilia. This is a small example of the interesting people our profession allows of to meet and the places we're able to go and see.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. At The Richmark Gutter Company, we strive to inform our customers on the importance of quality materials and craftsmanship. Most people care simply about rates. Luckily, we are very competitively priced, because of how we buy bulk and factory direct, utilizing our large warehouse. However, quality is our main focus. We have highly trained professional installers - the best around. We also use The best quality gutter coil, hangers, screws, and accessories - there really is a difference. We don't cut corners and it shows with many repeat customers and a near-zero call back ratio.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. I don't want to sound like I'm giving you generalities here, but we truly treat each job with special attention. We take pride and care in each project we do. To illustrate this, one of my favorite "projects" was actually a play house. It was an insignificant section of gutter on a tree house. We were doing it for a friend and simply to have fun. The installers still took their time and made the job look professional. The playhouse gutters are secured properly, sloped correctly and meet (or exceed) the high standards we put on every job. Of course, we've also worked on million+ dollar homes to the same satisfaction!

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. We offer a "per foot" base rate for new gutter systems. however, there are additional charges for the following:
-Miters (or corners)
-high/steep/unwalkable roof
-certain accessories, such as funnels, drainage adapters, etc
-We gladly offer a free estimate to give you a detailed idea, as every project we do is different and unique.

For service calls and cleaning:
-We charge a $100 base rate, which covers the first hour (this covers 99% of all cleanings!)
-For more complicated services, there is a $25 charge after each additional 15 minutes.
-Our installers work swiftly and professionally, and are motivated to complete the job in a timely manner
