We install underground fencing and train dogs . My customers like the individualized attention they receive, and so does their dog.
I am truly a dog lover and had experience all my life with them. I own and operate the business , and I have been in business for almost 13 years. Your dog's well being and safety is my first priority.

We first learned about Dog Guard Out of Sight Fencing after we visited various vendors of underground fencing at a Home and Garden Show. We chose to purchase our fence from Heather Cottingham because she is a local business woman, because we had heard bad reports from neighbors about other competing companies, and because her price was the best. After installing our fence, Heather returned to train our dog. She did an excellent job and this was very helpful. We have not been disappointed. If we have a question, Heather responds quickly to our call. She is competent, courteous and very fair. We would recommend her to anyone who is considering underground fencing for their pet.

Dog Guard is a great company with exceptional service from Heather. She is very professional and excellent with animals. She has a true passion for them. Our English Settter was ten years old and was used to having lots of room to run with a fenced in yard. Heather was here the day our moving truck arrived and worked with Max. He loves his freedom with the electric fence and has never had a problem adjusting. Heather also offers help above and beyond just installing and maintaing your fence.

Heather installed our invisible fence in 2007. We had flower beds and the yard wire for the dogs. She trained our dogs to be aware of the boundries with a couple of visits. Heather did a wonderful job with the installation and training. When he acquired a new dog, we had Heather come and train the dog to the fence. Our neighbors are very pleased with how the dogs stay in our yard and will sit and watch the neighbors. Dog Guard Outof Sight Fencing is a good choice. Be sure you do comparison pricing...you will be surprised. Also, Heather frquently can make suggestions when you are having a behavior problem with a dog.

Heather installed an invisible fence in our large front and back yards, and gave us good advice about how large an area to enclose. She trained our dog in adapting to the fence and completely understood his temperament (he was a rescue dog and very nervous). We have used her several times since: repairs after line was cut, enclose our vegetable garden, check on unit (she determined that it was out of order due to lightning). She is responsive and makes time to come as soon as you need her. She is honest, and hardworking (she installed our fence in the middle of winter in several inches of snow). I can't say enough good things about her!

Question and answer
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. This product is a lifetime investment. Make sure you will have training and you have good customer service. Cheaper is not always better.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Consistency is a must. You have to be able to commit to 10 days of training. It is actually a very simple process and it can work for any dog.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. Who is doing the work? What kind of warranty is there? Do you offer a money back guarantee? Who helps with the training? What kind of wire is used? What kind of customer service will I get?
