- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I wouldn't consider our pricing complicated, but we offer two levels of service, a single photographer package, and a 2 photographer package. The price for each service level is based on how many hours of coverage you would like to hire us for. Typically most of our clients book 8-10 hours. We require a $300.00 retainer for our single photographer packages, and a $500.00 retainer for our 2 photographer packages, these amounts are then deducted from the total balance. Your remaining balance is then split into two payments, one being due 6 months out from the event, and the final balance due 30 days from your event. Running a photography studio is so much more than just taking photographs one day a week! For every wedding that we shoot we have over 40 hours of time invested in the client, from meetings to editing to marketing, we do so much more than just snap pictures! So when you are shopping for a photographer, take that into account when you see their prices.
