Since 1999, I have been providing my clients that special makeup touch, one that is backed by heart, traveling on demand wherever I am needed. Whether it be making up the stars, the inception of my career working over a decade in the entertainment industry in LA, or coming back to Cleveland to be close to family and raise my own, the makeup services I provide have one end result in mind- a smile larger than the Cheshire cat's and hopefully a big hug to follow. (; I specialize in airbrush makeup services on location, but have an array of services to meet any makeup need, whether it be traditional application or mini services such as eyes only or airbrush foundation/blush only. I try to accommodate all makeup needs and customize all services to the desires of the client, if need be. I don’t do bridal hair, but do work with many wonderful stylist with whom I team up and can refer their details, so do email me and ask!! I have been told I have a very calming presence by countless clients, which is quite flattering, for I realize how important this can be on such a huge and special day, where jitters may be running high. I truly am honored to help ease the nerves of what should not be a nerving experience, but a precious and pampered one. I may come from a very eclectic professional background, but my whole reason for being in this business is to bring happiness and beauty not only on the surface but within, where it truly matters (and to take care of my precious little guys, I cannot lie about that). Monique recently did the makeup for my sister and her entire bridal party, plus the mothers. We can't say enough great things about her and our experience! She came right to our house, which was nice and convenient for us. She came to our house at about 8:30 and got started on the first girl, and continued until 1:00. Our group had a variety of services done: traditional makeup, eyes only, and airbrush. This was the first time for quite a few of us having airbrush done, but we loved it! Monique really listened to each one of us and gave us the "look" that we were going for. We received many compliments on our makeup throughout the day AND the airbrush lasted into all hours of the night. I can't imagine a better makeup artist, and we definitely are going to book Monique again for future weddings and events! :)

Monique was absolutely fantastic to work with for my wedding. She was very responsive to my emails and I was able to get something scheduled quickly. She is very professional, but approachable and friendly at the same time. My makeup was flawless for both the trial session and for my wedding. I couldn't have asked for anything more and I'm so happy that I had Monique to take care of one of the most important parts of my day!

I hired Monique to do two weddings within a month of each other. I spent time at her house with the bride and had a great trial. She was extremely professional and well prepared. She offered several different kinds of make up applications and described them well. Her years of experience made all of us feel like we were getting what we wanted. While she was on the expensive side I felt she was worth what she charged. She returned all if my e mails as well as phone calls in a timely fashion. She made the bride feel relaxed on her big day! If I ever have an event in the future I will be sure to use her again!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Request my brochure. I tried to cover all bases within. Also, whenever I send a quote, it is never set in stone. It varies based on all the details provided and what the customer needs, so please do share.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
There is typically an email exchange of questions on either part to see how to best accommodate the client. If the client is interested, I encourage a professional consultation so the wedding day look could be discussed and applied to the client's satisfaction, and just to meet to allow the client to feel at ease that they will be in good hands. From there, I make sure all of the clients' service needs I can offer are in order and met.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I continue to be mentored by a very established high fashion/ celebrity artist from New York, whom I look up to with admiration and utter respect. I observe all around me. People. Fashion. Nature. The world. I take it all in and assimilate it into creativity. I also have many years of college studying psychology so working with people and feeling I am helping others just feels natural. But please note, I do NOT do hair for weddings (I tried to add this to my initial profile but the site wouldn’t let me) BUT I DO team up with some amazing stylists whom I can certainly refer! When we team up together, we are the power glam squad, making things go so much smoother and efficiently! So just ask! 😊
