Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Don't base your decision on price. Buying real estate is expensive and if you skimp now it could cost you in the long run. Cheap home inspections usually produce cheap results. Using the latst technology in thermal imaging, moisture meters, gas detectors, carbon monoxide detectors and having a quality home inspection report is what sets us apart from the competion.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. What makes one home inspection company better than the other? Experience, technology, and service. Some companies hide behind an organizational banner such as ASHI or InterNACHI saying to only choose an inspector in those organizations. Look beyond that, anyone can join these groups. Look at the information that they provide on their websites, testimonials, and especially sample reportd of their work.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Ask for a sample copy of their work. Any company should be proud of their work and make a sample copy easily available. Ask how long the inspection takes. A company that only takes an hour to an hour and a half is not performing a quality inspection.
