- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I became interested in graphic design when I was in high school and quickly set my sights on a graphic design degree shortly thereafter. I had always loved art, crafts and painting, and when I discovered that all those passions could be combined by using the computer, I was hooked! After I graduated college, I worked for a couple of different companies designing primarily newspaper ads. A few years ago though, I had a lot of friends getting married and I found myself attending a lot of bridal shows. I was hooked! Before I knew it, I had started DAS Design and have been attending bridal shows since. I really enjoy the bridal/trade show side of my business because I get to mingle all day long with new people and it doesn't feel like I'm working at all. It's so much fun!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
You definitely won't regret having something professionally designed. Sometimes people think that designing something themselves will save them time and money. That's actually not always the case. In fact, we hear a lot of stories that go something like this..."I was trying to design it myself, but I ended up spending all day and I'm still not happy with the design... but I'm really happy to be finished with it!! Now I need to print it. Oh great, I'm out of ink!" Let us help take the burden off! We want your design to be a fun reflection of you and we want you to smile when you see it -- not cringe and remember how many hours you spent trying to figure out how to scale that photo down! At DAS Design, our goal is to always produce high quality products for a price that is affordable to everyone. We let you make unlimited revisions until you are completely happy with the design and we don't charge by the hour -- we charge by the project so you know exactly how much your project will cost before we begin.
