Tell me what you would like to have for your party i. E. , lighting, subwoofers, turntables etc. Tell me what type of event the party is, where it is, and what size room it will be in. Do you want a fog machine? What is the age range of the people attending your party.

The art of disk jockey-ing is more than just pressing play. A lot of preparation and experience goes into song choice and reading the crowd to facilitate a great night for people wanting to have fun. For example, if no one is dancing (fund-raiser) then there would be no reason to play upbeat dance music for the crowd.
