About The Pilates Edge, Inc.

We are a full-service Pilates studio offering private, semi-private and group classes. Group classes are limited to four, so each person gets one-on-one attention even in group classes.

Our certified instructors are trained to work with special needs such as chronic low back pain, scoliosis, orthopedic injuries, and pregnancy as well as healthy adults.

We are the only full-time teacher training studio in the Oklahoma City area.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. When looking for a pilates instructor check to see if your potential trainer is certified through a reputable company. There are many organizations that offer quicky certifications. Reputable organizations require hundreds of hours of practice teaching, self integration, and mentoring. Also, check to see if they are trained to work with your specific issues or condition? Do they attend continuing education courses each year? Do they know CPR and carry liability insurance? The fitness industry in Oklahoma is not regulated, so the buyer needs to do their due diligence to insure their trainer can provide results while keeping them safe.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Within pilates studios you have two different trains of thought. Some studios teach large group classes which will teach you the exercises but not necessarily program to the issues or conditions that brought you to pilates in the first place. Other studios focus more on programming to the individual client. They do a posture analysis to determine which exercises will benefit you and which ones would be best to avoid. As awesome as pilates is, not all exercises are beneficial for all clients. A well trained instructor can program for your body type so you reap the benefits and experience a well balanced body.
